I was sitting under an avalanche of sticky notes and partially used notebooks. I knew I had an important call today. However, somewhere between responding to a customer complaint and spending three hours on the phone with my credit card processor the exact meeting time slipped through my neurons and splashed into a puddle of soup at the base of my brain.
I was managing three businesses (too many by the way). Managing them all with three Gmail accounts, 15 email addresses, four notebooks (the paper kind), and a rainbow of sticky notes. The sneaking suspicion I was already too late churned in my stomach as I flipped through the purple notebook trying to remember if I wrote down the phone number before or after my notes on next month’s social media strategy. For some reason the voice of Mr. Ralston, my middle school teacher, was on a loop in my head saying, “Organization is the key to success,” over and over and over….
The Breaking Point
That early afternoon wasn’t the first time this scenario happened. Luckily, something snapped and it was the last. I somehow beat the “but” voice. You know the one I’m talking about.

Need to shoot a wedding? Assign the wedding workflow to your client. The software takes the date and creates a daily checklist leading up to and after the event. Each task is added to you schedule so you don’t miss a thing!
